Jimmy Griffin was a junior at Legacy High School and a member of the football team. Tragically, Jimmy passed away in a car accident on October 12, 2003.  Jimmy was a giver.  He filled people up with a unique ability to make people laugh.  Jimmy had a sincere sense of compassion for others, and a selflessness that was demonstrated through his gift of life as an organ donor.  It is for these attributes that this scholarship is created.

 

This memorial scholarship will be awarded to a senior on the Legacy High School football team who remains in good standing and has plans to attend an institution of higher learning (2-year, 4-year, or Trade School).  This scholarship has no bearing on the position or performance on the football field.

SELECTION

Final selection of the Scholarship winner will be made prior to the Legacy Football Banquet by a panel of advisors to the scholarship fund, and the recipient will be announced at the banquet.
